UIC is hanging with Northwestern right now in the 2nd half
Indiana State is down 10 in the 2nd half to SIUe
Illinois State with a nice home win over Ohio. Dalton Banks with a career high 23 points
The Valley is looking kinda rough all around right now. If SIU can gel, this league is very winnable.

Yep. The impact of the portal/NIL raiding of the all-conference teams is in full effect.
The fact that Bradley (a nice group but no juggernaut) was the consensus pick to win the league was revealing. There are a handful of decent to good teams, including SIU, but unless one of the teams makes major strides in the coming weeks, it looks like a cluster of a one-bid league. Kinda fun, kinda sad.
Bradley has the right formula of getting good high school players and retaining them as well as they can while replacing those that did leave with high-level transfers. Having good NIL helps too. Drake and Bradley had a huge advantage of being good right when NIL became a thing which led to more enthusiasm among fans to donate.
