Drake is for real! That's a really good FAU team. So far I have been most impressed by Drake, Bradley and Murray State. UNI appears to be pretty decent too, although more inconsistent. I think those are definitely the top 4 MVC teams. Hoping Southern continues to improve and can compete with those 4. I don't know how good La Salle is, but I did think UIC was badly underrated in most of the preseason MVC rankings. As for Drake, seems there's some McCollum magic at work.
The thing I'm most impressed by right now with Drake...rebounding, specifically on the offensive end. I've never seen a front line so small get so many second chance points. I guess that old adage that rebounding is about heart/want to is really showing with these guys.

FAU just beat Okie State on a neutral court. Lost to a very good UCF team and in 2 OT to Charleston. Blew out Insu. Impressive Drake win and they killed FAU on the boards. Also lights out from 3.
Drake hired D2 coach Ben McCollum who was my #1 choice for SIU. Maybe the most successful D2 coach ever. Probably end up coaching at Iowa for major bucks.
