More like "The Starboard of the Midwest"
@barkeep-1967 And some of their alumni call it, "The Harvard of the Midwest"... 🙄 🤣
Of course they do but most are not real bright. Peoria is the shithole of the Midwest. The only thing Peoria provides is big Als and some good places to eat. That’s it. Wall off that shithole and hope it goes away
Evansville beats Northern Iowa 65-61 at home. Kuhlman with 21 and Curtis with 14 off the bench
ISU Blue falls to MSU 85-75...Lansing is not in a good spot. This was supposed to be his most talented team in awhile. I think he’s got one more year after this on his contract...could be two spots open in the valley between he and Mueller next year.

Watched the game. Curtis is a stud. Glad to see E'ville win another game. That would have been a tough pill to swallow being the only team to lose to them this season. IN watching them though, I can see them winning quite a few more.

Also, I love UNI's freshmen PG Born. He is a TRUE PG who is fearless as a freshemen. I really like what the valley teams have been bringing in the last couple of years. I believe the Valley will move back into a top 10 conference within a year or two and we should start seeing multi bids as a result.

Lansing should probably be done but I think ISU gives Muller another year just based on his buyout and the fact that they're basically playing all freshmen this year. But if it gets really ugly, they might have no choice. I fully expect them to hire Luke Yaklich whenever that move is made.
If Muller is retained they may Riot in Bloomington. Which is actually fine with me burn it down and take Peoria with them

Born is really good. I saw him on display when they played against WKU, which was his first college game. We don't know how good AJ Green will be when he returns next year, but UNI has the potential to be really good. If Green returns to near 100%, that would be a heck of a 1-2 guard punch.
Evansville sweeps UNI with a 70-64 win. Evansville moves to 3-1 in the MVC, Northern Iowa moves to 1-3
Missouri States sweeps Indiana State at home with a 70-66 win. Missouri States moves to 3-1 in the MVC, Indiana State moves to 0-4.

The MVC actually has a couple of shots at an at-large bid this year! I'm sure there's not much room for error though.
Come on guys, get a damn at-large!
We have a simple saying at the UDP household -- MAKE THE VALLEY GREAT AGAIN!

Aside from when Drake and Loyola are playing SIU, I would probably prefer them to win. These Evansville upsets is what kills our conference. Hopefully the top teams can win enough conference games to get a bid.
After watching Drake kick our ass I agree they are very mature team and athletic. I think they could do well in NCAA tournament if they got a decent seed. I actually feel sorry for them though. Their 7 footer Robbins transferred to MINN this year. Here's what he did against Ohio State this weekend. 27 pts,14 rbs,5 blocks,4 assists and 2 steals. Can you imagine how good Drake would be if he had stayed. I would guess, deep into the tournament.

How about Missouri State coming in at 81?
I believe this is just the start of the Valley getting BACK to where they used to be top 10 conference and getting multiple bids. Maybe not this year, but I firmly believe next year and thereafter (until the current coaching staffs turnover).
This also allows for any MVC team that does get in the tournament to get a decent seeding. It doesn't hurt having Dickie V frequently tweeting about Drake and the MVC in general.
