about Mo State
they have probably top 30 talent. They are however poorly coached. Any coach with half a brain feeds Prim all night. They run down and launch bad 3’s. Ford can recruit as good as anybody. His X’s and O’s However are really bad .

Agree. He had that W. Virginia transfer big forward last year and did a poor job of utilizing him IMO. That guy could have been 20ppg in the MVC with the right coach.
Their talent last year was very good too. Prim is tough as nails.
Here is the link to NET rankings that just released for the first time this year.

Drake #20

Bradley #108
SIU #158
The MVC actually has a couple of shots at an at-large bid this year! I'm sure there's not much room for error though.
How about Missouri State coming in at 81?
I believe this is just the start of the Valley getting BACK to where they used to be top 10 conference and getting multiple bids. Maybe not this year, but I firmly believe next year and thereafter (until the current coaching staffs turnover).
This also allows for any MVC team that does get in the tournament to get a decent seeding. It doesn't hurt having Dickie V frequently tweeting about Drake and the MVC in general.
I must have skipped over Missouri State when reviewing this. Good catch! Nice to have an additional top 100 team. Also, Drake is receiving more top 25 votes. If they do in fact string a few more wins together (hopefully not tonight), that conversation should gain a lot of traction very soon.
Dammit. That Drake/Loyola series was going to be must see TV.
Found it weird that they PPD Drake's next 2 series but SIU only had 1 series PPD so far. Wonder if it has to do with number of players/staff affected?
Evansville moves to 4-1 with a win over the Redbirds. Missouri State moves to 4-1 with a win over Valpo in their MVC opener
Indiana State (1-4) gets their first MVC win over Loyola-Chicago (2-1)
Illinois State (1-3) gets their first MVC win over Evansville (4-2)
Missouri State (5-1) completes the sweep over Valpo (0-2)
Northern Iowa (2-3) beats Bradley (0-1) at home
Looks like the complete crazy of 2020 is spilling into 2021 in the MVC.
Drake is going to win this conference going away

good call barkeep
I've been checking the other Valley Boards today. We are one of only a few that don't have a slew of personal attacks going on in our discussion. Congratulations guys! Lol 🙂
