Well, Southern Indiana isn’t awful? Maybe? (They are, but I’m gonna pretend they aren’t)
Bow Em
That was the longest last minute I've ever seen. USI and ISU Blue going to OT
Were you not watching SIU vs Alcorn State? Lol
the valley looks amazing on paper this year
THE Southern Indiana University might just be the best team in the MVC this year! 😥
Wow! I can't remember when the MVC was this bad. Maybe never.
I'm thinking back to my old student days of New Mexico St., Tulsa, Wichita, Creighton, Larry Bird, Xavier McDaniel, West Texas (now led by Walter Wendler)...
Jesus - are we the Summit League?
The OVC loses Murray & Belmont and are now a tougher conference than MVC. 🥴
and the E will beat them
I think they can and will be Ill St. In fact, SIUe can beat many of the Valley teams and very possibly is better than we are this season. Much easier conference but they'll likely finish with a better record than we will.
I believe I witnessed a final score of ISU Red 77 and the e 71.
Some folks are really better off focusing on their day jobs! LOL
GO DAWGS!
OVC is not nearly as strong as an even down MVC this year. Some schools play really well at home and terrible on the road. That seems to be USI's MO this year. If the crowd against the Syc's was anything like the crowd at the SIU game that gives them a significant home court advantage.
Yea people need to tone it down a notch. The OVC is still complete garbage full with NET 300+ Teams with a couple of outliers. And even the outliers aren’t that good, but somewhat tough to beat on their own court.
Yeah the MVC is down for sure, but with as much talent that left our conference after last year its really not all that much of a surprise. Even still, it's not bottom-barrel D1 bad, nor will it ever be.
Another year or two, if teams can retain their talent, the Valley will be right back where it should be. I think the coaching depth is better now than its been for a while. The roster rebuilds just need time to catch up.

Also, the CUSA, AAC, and possibly the WCC (if/when Gonzaga leaves) are about to get a lot weaker in hoops. If the Valley gets back to normal, we’re liable to be easily in the top 10 most years.
Missouri Valley Games for Monday:
South Florida @ Northern Iowa 7:00 PM ESPN+ (Northern Iowa favored by 2.5)
UNI down 10 at home to South Florida with 11 minutes left.

WCC will still be pretty strong, even without Gonzaga. They still have St. Mary's (who's right there with Gonzaga this year), BYU, San Francisco (who beat the Salukis twice in the last couple of years) and Santa Clara. All of rhem are there close to the top 25 of mid-majors.
Northern Iowa loses at the buzzer to South Florida after tying it late
