It feels like a forgone conclusion that Lottich gets canned at the end of the year…can he lose enough to get canned mid-year? Loss to Evansville?
Missouri Valley games for Wednesday:
Missouri State @ Illinois State 7:00 PM ESPN+ (Missouri St favored by 4)
Evansville @ Bradley 7:00 PM ESPN+ (Bradley favored by 20)
Evansville is currently down 84-35 to Bradley. I'm convinced they might be the worst Valley team in recent memory.
@salukiworld worse than the 0-18 team. At least that team kept games close.
Meanwhile Ill State not taking advantage of Missouri St missed FT's and TO's and it remains a 1pt lead for the home Redbirds with 1:18 left.
Hopefully the Turds pull this one out. Any one of the bottom 4 teams beating a top 8 team is a win for SIU.
Missouri State-Illinois State going to overtime in Normal
Illinois St gives up back to back offensive rebounds but scores a basket with 6 seconds left and then hold to push this game to OT
Ill St looks like they are going to pull this one out in OT. Up 8 with less than a minute left.
Nice win for Illinois State. Missouri State continues to be a maddening team.
Knight is a REALLY good player for Ill St. He's 6' 7" and can play inside or out. I'm hoping Davis from Vashon can be a similar player for years to come.
Have a chance to rattle off 5 more conference wins before we travel to Peoria; if we do go 5-0, that puts us at 18-5 and 10-2 in conference, and quite possibly in sole possession of first knowing Indiana State has a tough stretch.
Valpo at Evansville this Saturday: one team will finally get their first Valley win, but if the Aces pull it off does Lottich have a job the next day?
