Bradley is not the same team without Darrell Brown. He made em go!
Brown was overrated. He scored a lot, but shot A LOT.
I definitely think that Missouri State could win in Arch Madness though. With all that talent, its very possible they could string together 3 really good games, even with Loyola and Drake. Hopefully they are both at-large teams anyway.

If our beloved Valley gets two teams in the 2021 dance, I will drive to the MVC headquarters, plop down on the front doorstep, whaling out in tears, "I KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME AGAIN!!!"

Brown: Career 37% shooter with his best season coming in at 39%. To compare to our best player, Domask shot 47% last year as a FRESHMAN. Brown wasn't a bad player by any means, but there are plenty of players that could average at least 15 ppg if they take 13+ shots every game.

Don't let the facts get in your way! LOL
Brown was better than most players in the the MVC. 2nd team MVC Jr. and Sr. years. Sportswriters who saw him play a lot obviously disagree with you, as do I. He wasn't over rated, really good his last two years I thought. Against Mich. St. in the NCAA had 17 pts and 7 assists. Against Valpo in MVC Championship last year, has 21 pts and 9 assists.
In 2018-2019, 2nd in the MVC in 3pt % at 48.3%, in 2019-2020, was 3rd in the MVC in scoring at 16.2ppg and 2nd in assists at 4.1 per game.
Brown played more minutes than any other BU player and he was the man to provide most of their scoring - he was supposed to shoot the ball. His percentages were pretty good in 2018-2019, not quite as good his Sr. year.
Let's see, who else has been 2nd team All-MVC? Jamaal Tatum, Desmar Jackson, Anthony Beane, Armon Fletcher, Sean O'brien...

Drake and ISUred going OT.
Drake wins by 2 in OT.
Drake beats ISU Red 78-76 in OT. Illinois State hung around the entire game, makes you wonder if SIU might be the worst team in the Valley.
Evansville currently up 18 on Valpo at home
Bradley down 5 at Indiana State in the 2nd half trying to avoid losing their 5th in a row
Loyola demolished Missouri State on the road and moved to #16 in KenPom

What? LOL
Like I said, Brown was a good player. I don't intend to discredit all of his accomplishments. And I also understand that there is more to his game than shooting percentage. He also has some really big games at really important times. That is also important.
I still have to throw in one more jab at that shooting percentage though. There are currently 10 Salukis on this roster shooting better than 37% that currently has an 8-6 record. Yes, I know a smaller sample size, but still...10. Also, the team percentage is significantly better than Brown. The dude simply shot the ball A LOT, therefore scored a lot.
Indiana State about to sweep Bradley.

#25 Drake beats and sweeps Illinois State (2-9) by 35 to move to 8-0.
Evansville comes back from down double digits to sweep Valpo (3-5) and move to 6-4.
Loyola up 16 on Missouri State at halftime

Gosh that is just a terrible shame 😎

Both should be higher. Loyola is up to 13 on KenPom.
