Updated after the Indiana State loss. SIU has a clear 2 game lead now to avoid Thursday as Indiana State drops
If you look at the actual schedule projections, it has SIU going 16-4. Both teams still have a lot of work to do. I am a believer that Belmont beating Bradley is still good for us. Also, it's nice to be 2 games ahead of the pack!Updated KenPom projections knock Bradley down a game. Still has SIU and Belmont tying and SIU has the tiebreaker:
Don't look now but Valparaiso has won 3 in a row. They beat Illinois State in Normal by 20.
I’ve somehow found myself watching four Valpo games this year. They’re better than their record. Still, they probably have the 9th best team talent wise.
Bow Em
They hadn't played anyone except us, when we beat them the second time we played i said then i bet they would lose at least 5 in a row, maybe six. This was their tough stretch, they were in first but the only decent team the played was us back when we weren't playing a big man for some reason.Indiana State has officially imploded
And.....
Bradley/Belmont must be on Bally's because it's blacked out for me on ESPN+. I am ready for those guys to go under...
that irritates the bejesus out of me - pay $10/month and they still black out stuff - I check other MVC games every week and they always black out something
I bet Indiana State fans are upset. Their hot start had them thinking it’d be a special year.
That’s a veteran team that will lose a lot after this season.
Yeah, but you know the refs have it in for them so....I bet Indiana State fans are upset. Their hot start had them thinking it’d be a special year.

Confidence can be very fragile and apparently ISU Blue seems to be shaken at this point which makes the current season for the Dawgs quite impressive because no matter the situation whether during the preseason practice during the game during the week even a bad game this team adjusts to adversity and responds positively and just keeps getting better which I think is a testament to the coaching staff and their ability to keep this team together focused on the future and isn't fun to be winning and in first place
@salukiworld I wouldn't be unhappy with that scenario, but I realistically think SIU can finish 15-5 and win the conference regular season outright.
