Looks like Drake is going to win. Before this Drake win, KenPom has Bradley and Drake tied for 1st now and SIU/Belmont/Indiana State dropping down in the fight to avoid Thursday
It will be interesting to see where everyone shakes out when Hacksaw does his simulations to finish out the season.
I think we have a good chance to go 5-2 the rest of the way. With possible losses at home to Bradley and on the road to Drake. We could win one of those games and go 6-1 or lose an unexpected game and go 4-3. I expect we finish anywhere between 13-7 and 15-5. 15-5 and we are probably alone or tied for 1st.
All I know is that Sunday's home game just became MUST WIN territory. If we lose that game, Thursday it is and I'll jump off here for a few days until the implosion is over.
Hacksaw's projections after last night.....

SIU drops to 3rd in the rankings but there is very little difference between #1 and #5. A little more of a gap to get to #6 through #8

Very interesting, and thank you kindly OBD for sharing. Some folks are posting on this very site of how weak the MVC is this year. Looking at these projections, and current standings I do not believe those comments to be justified. If SIU wins the crown, will it be because of a weak conference? Or, If SIU does not win the crown, will people say they most certainly should have due to said conference being weak? Let us all get behind this team and staff, and begin another winning streak!
GO DAWGS!!!

There are a bunch of pretty good/decent teams. There are no great teams, such as the Wichitas/Loyolas of recent MVC vintage, or the SIUs/Creightons going back a little further.
Hence, the logjam and no at-large contenders.
Missouri Valley games for today:
Evansville @ UIC 1:00 PM ESPN+ (UIC favored by 9)
Murray State @ Indiana State 3:00 PM ESPN3 (Indiana State favored by 7)
Illinois State @ Belmont 4:00 PM ESPN3 (Belmont favored by 11)
Bradley @ Northern Iowa 5:00 PM ESPNews (Bradley favored by 2.5)
Drake @ Valparaiso 6:00 PM ESPN+ (Drake favored by 8.5)
Indiana State is absolutely pounding Murray State. Up 33 with 5:30 left
Indiana State wins 99-56 over Murray State. Will be interesting to see how high their KenPom and NET rises after that, might be trouble for SIU in a tiebreaker. Indiana State was 121 in KenPom before this game
Belmont up 18 on Illinois State. Turning into blowout day in the Valley.
Bradley over UNI by 8 on the road Dawgs need a win tomorrow
Valpo up 7 on Drake with 12:51 left
Drake and Valpo going to OT. Really sloppy end of the game. Valpo fouled DeVries with 20 seconds left shooting a 3 and he hit all 3 and then 2 offensive fouls.
