So long as we win tomorrow against UIC then a Drake loss puts them one game back from us, so a loss at Drake would just pull them even with us - and not put them a game ahead.

If it was just Drake and us tied at the top I would agree, but two other team’s results matter too. For me, the critical thing is for SIU to keep winning, regardless of the other results. If Drake loses against Murray, I think it becomes a much taller task for SIU to win at Drake, for the reasons mentioned previously, which is why I’m not a solid “Go Racers”
In the end, either result is fine by me, so long as we keep winning!

Murray doesn't fit well into the MVC with their culture and style of play. They do not value defense, are poorly coached and show poor sportsmanship. Really bad culture. I consider the mvc mostly a defense 1st league. Also, for the most part teams have shown the utmost sportsmanship, many times with their coaches leading by example. Murray couldn't be any further from that model!
