Some didn’t want to play Murray a third time in St. Louis. This is absolutely who I want (unless a 9-12 team can upset on Thursday). For a couple of reasons.
1. Out of the top 8, who would we rather have instead of Murray?
2. The old notion of “It is tough to beat a team 3 times” is statistically untrue. I don’t know the exact number, but I believe that the 2-0 team goes 3-0 about 80% of the time.
They’ll put up a fight in some games this month, but they’re probably not nearly as good as the other 5-8 group. And while Perry can be pretty good, he’s not nearly as dangerous as a potential Bowen Born can be.
Murray getting cooked back to back games…I guess we’ll see what these guys are made out of on Saturday as they head to Bradley. Things could get out of hand real fast. Hopefully Drake got all that shooting out of their system.
