Northern Iowa goes to Missouri State and wins 69-66. Born scores 21
I am not disputing that Ebube offers something. In a half court set he is only a threat if his man goes to double or loses him on the baseline for a free dunk. Ebube will score his points with offensive rebounds and rim running. Maybe he can be a back to the basket big someday but he made a post move the other night and completely missed the rim. Rupert is more of a threat in one on one post situations than Ebube.@saluki-4-life i absolutely think he is capable and at a bare minimum they can't just ignore him and focus on Domask - it's too easy for someone else to feed him the ball high or low and watch him score. my point was it would keep them from doubling Domask and give Domask a fighting chance to be the weapon he can be. We haven't seen what Ebube can really do yet since he hasn't played substantial time in a single game yet. His cumulative stat line this season is absurdly salivating as several have shown. If he had 25 minutes a game would it hold up? Maybe not...maybe yes???
Agree. Rupert was high scorer with 14 at Valpo in only 17 minutes. Would like to see more of him. If Ebube is close to the basket, he's a threat to dunk, which he certainly should be at 6' 10". Currently, that's the limit to his offensive threat other than putbacks. Too bad he missed most of a season - that has probably hurt his development. Also too bad Cade isn't getting some minutes, because he CAN score and even if he is just hacked, he's our only big that can shoot FTs.
IMO, it's a mistake to not give CH some minutes and to not give Rupert more minutes.
If we beat Bradley tomorrow and Belmont beats Drake, there will be a 5 teams tied for first with 13-5 records with 2 games to go.
Not really LOL, there would be 4 teams tied for first and Belmont would get bumped to 2nd since we already know we beat the tie-breaker with them at least. I'd be ok with the valley finishing in a multi-team tie for 1st.If we beat Bradley tomorrow and Belmont beats Drake, there will be a 5 teams tied for first with 13-5 records with 2 games to go.

Umm. Yea, really. Belmont swept Bradley. All kinds of things like that involved and I’m not really sure where we fit in the round robin with 5 teams involved. The Belmont win certainly helps though.
good point, maybe that does get trickier to sort out...helps if we don't get beat by Bradley todayNot really LOL, there would be 4 teams tied for first and Belmont would get bumped to 2nd since we already know we beat the tie-breaker with them at least. Cant argue with that!
Anyone know how this sorts out? We split with Drake, IN St, and beat Belmont, we lost one to Bradley and need to win today.good point, maybe that does get trickier to sort out...helps if we don't get beat by Bradley todayNot really LOL, there would be 4 teams tied for first and Belmont would get bumped to 2nd since we already know we beat the tie-breaker with them at least. Belmont lost to us, lost once to Drake (play again today), beat Bradley twice, and they have yet to play IN St (coming soon).
Drake split with us, beat Belmont once (play again today), Split with IN St, Beat Bradley once and play them again to end the season.
Bradley beat IN St, beat us once (we'll see today), Lost one to Drake and get them at home at end of season, lost twice to Belmont
IN St split with us, play Belmont soon, split with Drake, Lost to Bradley
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If we win today - we split with everyone but tie-breaker win over Belmont
Belmont loses tie breaker to us, but wins to Bradley (& could lost to Drake and win to IN St)
Drake could tie breaker win over Belmont and/or Bradley
Bradley tie-breaker win over IN St, maybe over us (GO DAWGS GO!), loses to Belmont, and could lost to Drake
IN St - Loses tie-breaker to Bradley, could win tie-breaker over Belmont
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have no tie-breaker losses if we win today and we have 1 win
Belmont has 1 loss and 1 win, but could have 1 more of each
Drake has no losses but could have 2 wins
Bradley has 1 win and 1 loss and could have 1 more of each.
IN St has 1 loss but could have 1 win also.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Commence head-spinning now 🤪
Assuming we hold on against Bradley, who do we want to win in Belmont-Drake?
If we lose, does it even matter?
My question is a lot easier to answer based on today's standings. We're now tied for 4th with Belmont. We win the tiebreaker - haha 😜
