Here's what the MVC presidents are going to do.
They will tell Jackson to go get some bigger markets. Take us to 14.
Who has big media markets within the MVC footprint with successful teams?
ORU and NKU gives you Tulsa and Cincy TV markets. Both in the Dance this year.
There are no good teams in Indy, KC, Omaha, Milwaukee, StL.
Do media markets even matter anymore when most games are on ESPN+ with no Blackout restrictions?
Also Oral Roberts could be a perennial national champion contenders and I still wouldn't want them in the Valley.
A school with their rules and ultraconservative stone age "values" is not what this conference should be about. Tbh even Valpo and Belmont are pushing it but they aren't as hardline.
of course TV markets make a difference. that's why UIC is in the league.
today is all about big markets and renegotiating TV contracts.
big 10 added los Angeles. they didn't add manhattan Kansas. go down the list.

Completely agree - if the MVC even talks to Oral Roberts, I'll have a shitfit!
When I was a kid, we used to watch Oral Roberts do his phony cures on TV! Snakeoil University - almost as bad as Redturd State!!!! 😉
PS: there are definitely blackout restrictions on ESPN+

Nice pickup for Drake.
There's a pretty funny post over on the Valpo forum. The are debating whether or not Evansville should drop to Division III. Have they seen Valpo play? Better worry about your own kitchen, boys.
Anybody who roots for a team that is named Beacons may not talk down to anybody ever
Missouri State just got a transfer from Xavier. Cesare Edwards
It looks like Missouri State is losing its associate head coach for the 2nd year in a row. They lost Corey Gipson to Northwestern State last year and he’s at Austin Peay now

Slightly old news I believe, but Jordan Davis from Wisconsin transferred to IL ST. I have never heard of him but looks like he had significant playing time but not much of a scorer. Also I am curious about Brandon Lieb going there, will his .9 points a game suddenly go to 9? Will he even play that much? Interesting to see if the BIG transfers do anything for them in the Valley. Been pretty quiet otherwise so I figured I would mention for the heck of it.

Bey held offers from Creighton, DePaul, Miami (Florida), Nebraska, VCU and others.
How does Ford continue to get these high level recruits yet have huge roster turnover and yet to win a Valley title?
