Congrats to the young Dawgs!
(Notice no Donovan Clay of Valpo. Nice player but Lance Jones should have been on the All-Freshman team last year instead of Clay!)
Donovan Clay will not be in the MVC next year anyways I'm pretty sure.
These P5 schools can go *** the *** off.
"How dare you ask to share a court with us, attempt to get at-large bids, or cut into our March Madness money pool....but, I mean, you can keep developing players for us. Thanks."
I'm not necessarily saying that he will go P5. I'm just saying he won't be at Valpo.
So you have some double triple secret inside knowledge?
Or just assuming Clay no longer wants to play in Valpo's high school gym (like Javon Freeman Liberty?
FYI, he's in the transfer portal. Lol

Not good news for Evansville here
I think it will be a battle of attrition in the mvc every year! The teams that keep their core together will be the most successful. This is the 2nd year in a row Valpo is losing a key core player. Clay probably had the biggest upside on their roster, and they lost an all mvc stud in Javon Freeman Liberty the year before. Indy State lost 3 key players on the 1st day following the Lansing departure. Laravia was their best remaining player with huge potential. Loyola has been really successful at keeping their good player so far. Drake lost their stud center to Minnesota last year, but retooled via transfer very well. Big test for Mullins and his staff this off season. Let's see if they can keep Domak, Jones, Muila, Harvey, Banks, Brown, Verplancken and Filewich this off-season. Along with the incoming freshman and another incoming transfer or two that is the core I would like to see stay together and continue to develop. If D'Avanzo stays that would be good also. However, with D'Avanzo only 1 year of eligibility left it would not be the end of the world if he left.
Donovan Clay for Valpo also in the portal. That program has been ravaged by transfers worse than anyone the past several years, and it will be Lottich's undoing.
Very likely 3/4 play-in teams next year will hail from the state of Indiana, though I suppose things can and will change the next 2-3 months.

Losing Clay and Curtis aren't good but this is a good year to have open spots. The transfer portal is going to be crazy this year with 5th year Seniors that can quickly turn around teams. Hopefully SIU takes advantage of it.

That is basically the MVC returning to the normal status quo. Thursday night is Indiana Night!
Starting to think these guys just don't like the state of Indiana. 8/9 transfers from Indiana schools. Jeez...
This will be the wackiest off season ever with movement. I also think those that can hold on to their core returning players, all over the country, will better off. This is becoming the new norm and if the ncaa rule goes forward that players don't have to sit out a year it will continue. It already happens a lot and has for a long time at the high school level. I think that we are pretty well positioned to keep pretty much everyone and in reality the fact that we had injuries allowed more time for a few guys. That helps and also helps in the bonding as a team hopefully.

Oh wow that is a big one to lose; he was that Mr Basketball transfer who looked really good
I would be interested in LaRavia.

Oh what a shame...
Bradley is really going to have to scramble now. Although, Nolan may not have been invited back after the shenanigans in Springfield Mo. Drake may be sending Butler a big thank you for taking down Xavier!

I don't see the problem there!!! 🤣
