This is just too bad
"Bradley senior forward Elijah Childs has entered the transfer portal. Childs averaged 14PPG and 8RPG. He will be a highly sought after transfer."
can we just kick Bradley out of the conference please ?
Gonna guess he actually won't be highly sought after
There are plenty of unethical programs out there that will show interest as long as he doesn't have criminal charges pending.
Gosh, why did Murray State just pop into my head?

Valpo adds its fourth Big Ten transfer and third from Wisconsin, this guy with an unusual back story. Sounds like he'll have to sit for most or all of their non-con games, unfortunately.

Valpo is gonna be very interesting this season. They can bring talent in but they can't retain that talent.

This is a big get for Valpo…despite all the craziness dude can ball. He’ll make them forget all about Clay. Let’s see if Lottich can get all his new guys to gel before the season starts. He’s brought in a lot of talent on paper.

Bummer (again!) for Drake ... he was going to be the main backup big to Brodie and gave them some pretty good minutes in the NCAA tournament games as a springy/athletic complement to Brodie, who is a bruiser.

Good guy, good coach, The Valley needs more like him.

@salukiworld Lipstick on a pig. Still looks like a high school gym.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
It looks like they were only concerned with the floor! I guess they will use another graphic artist to remove "Crusaders" from the wall behind the bleachers!!
🤣 🤣
I thought it was the their practice facility at first glance.
This is one of the more detailed MVC previews you'll see. Some pretty interesting insights on the Salukis (picked 5th) and other Valley teams, highlighting some of the needed defensive improvements for SIU that was noted in another recent thread. I think he sells Filewich a bit short, though, and am a bit concerned that Coupet's defensive rep apparently isn't great.
Interesting that he puts Brown in the same camp ("none of them can defend"). The consensus here the past two years is that Brown gets as much PT as he does because he's a good defender. Is this guy full of it in regard to Brown or is it the case that Brown is merely the best defender among some not so great options?

My view is Brown is an above-average defender (certainly shouldn't have been put in the same defensive category as Harvey), so that's a bit of a miss in this article, but I also think there is something to the notion you mentioned of him being the best defender on a team that didn't have a lot of good ones. Brown definitely is a hard-working, scrappy defender, but he has some physical limitations, mostly in terms of size and athleticism, that would, for example, make it hard to project him as a DPOY candidate in the conference.
Brown certainly gets the most out of his capabilities defensively; a product of how hard he works to be sure. He's definitely an above-average defender, maybe even more.
What's maybe more important to note is Brown plays as hard as anyone I've ever watched and is perfectly willing to sacrifice, to the point of selling his soul, for the good of the team.
