@buckeyedawg Drake is looking a lot better in the 2nd half and started to make a run.

I didn’t get to watch the 2nd half. How do you think Drake matches up with SIU?

Wow - three smoke jobs! I expected Loyola to win handily but 30 pts??

Also shocked that UNI lost by 20 at home with two all-conference 1st teamers!

Sounds like they've given up without Greene.

Also surprised ISU got whipped so badly at home against Drake.

Missouri State looks like it could be a dark horse contender after underachieving badly last year. I think they have some addition by subtraction with a couple of the transfers who didn't work out last year, plus sophomores Mosley and Black are improved, and Prim is in better shape and looking good.

UNI is still finding itself without Greene, and has gone from preseason favorite to a team that might struggle to avoid Thursday.

Both ISUs have been pretty disappointing, but Illinois State in particular is awful.

No stopping Drake!

Bears have only played 4 games, 3 vs D1 teams, so it's a small sample size but they have been very impressive.  Mosley has put up amazing numbers across the board and so has Prim.

Prim is MORE than a handful and, in my opinion, is a top 3 big in the conference.  Plus he is a tough SOB.  Filewich is going to learn quickly those 2 games.

I watched the entire Drake game and they are legit. Much more athletic than I expected. Coach Devries is a future high-major coach.

Illinois State looked like trash. No flow on the offensive side of the ball and really bad defense. There is some talent on that team, but man...how much longer does Mueller last, especially with the new AD. I think he at least gets another year b/c the extension he got makes the buyout too high (especially with the current finances of most higher institutions), but I can't imagine much longer than that if they don't improve.

That's what I said.  I expect them to possibly sneak into the top 4.  Prim is really good.  I am not sure that SIU matches up with him very well.

Maybe it’s last night bias but I’d probably put Drake over SIU right now until I see something otherwise.  It’s hard to ignore how much they’re dominating teams by right now, even if the competition has been weak.

It's a pretty good debate though, right?  Drake has dominated everybody, but SIU has beaten Murray and Butler.  Even though I agree with your take, it is good to see someone picking our side.

The good news is, they play next week so we'll see where both teams stand.
