This came from the MVC site.  Bradley currently 96 Southern 138 we split regular season.  No way we end up higher than Bradley 6th seed it is.

N.E.T. Explained (PDF)

Tournament Tiebreaker System
Regular-season standings are the determining factor in setting first-round pairings for the State Farm MVC Tournament.  All ties will be broken starting at the top of the Conference standings and working down.  The tie-breaking system for seeding of the State Farm MVC Tournament, regardless of whether a tie involves two or more teams, will utilize the following factors, in order, until all ties are broken.

Two-way Ties
1. Records in head-to-head competition are compared, with the higher seed going to the team that has won the most games against the other.
2. If head-to-head competition does not break the tie, the deadlock will be broken using the NCAA Evaluation Tool (N.E.T.), as published by the NCAA on the morning after the final regular-season MVC games.  The team with the better N.E.T. rating will receive the higher seed.

Evansville finally did something good for the conference.  Taking a 51 point massacre from Loyola put Loyola back in the top 30 for NET rankings.  Pretty important this time of year.

I really think Loyola is in good shape if they win on Saturday and don't drop the Friday game in St. Louis.  I really think they'd be safe no matter what if they get to Sunday.  I think Loyola benefits from being a name brand as a mid-major where if they were Evansville with the same resume, they'd probably not get the same respect.  It's going to be really hard to keep them out if they're one of the last bubble teams.

I agree.  They are 29 in NET this morning.  Last year, the top 41 teams in the NET all made the tournament, plus a couple of others for at large.  I would expect something fairly similar.  I think if they win against UNI, they are simply a Friday win away from being in easily.  If they lose against UNI (close game), I still think they can get in if they make it to Sunday, and given the right circumstances, lose on Saturday.

At the end of the day, I think Loyola plays in the tournament one way or the other.

Looks like Tyreke Key is going elsewhere next season.  Sycamores could have been a sneaky good team next year if Key were to come back:

No Valley games tonight but Belmont travels to Murray State tonight at 8:00 on ESPNU.  Should be a jacked up crowd in Murray

Yeah, I got that far, finding nothing as far as stats. Is he redshirting? Very highly touted recruit.

He had less of a playing opportunity than Wonders/Ebube with how many people Drake brought back, and they had to get DeVries minutes.

Other than McCarthy being fired for his transgressions UE always seems to be patient with their coaching hires I only remember Crews and Simmons in the last 20 years so this is not suprising

I have no idea what they have going on with recruiting but can't imagine next year goes much better than this year with all the players they're losing.
