Some Saluki fans hoping for Drake in STL.  Because we want the lesser opponent. 

Should be hoping for Missouri State.  Play and coach well and you win.   

Either team is a bad matchup but SIU has played Drake better and Mosley and Prim in a one game situation isn't ideal.

No team is a good matchup when one team is a mediocre team, which SIU is.

MVC Second Team:
- Rienk Mast, Bradley
-Marcus Domask, Southern Illinois
-Noah Carter, Northern Iowa
-Antonio Reeves, Illinois State
-Garrett Sturtz, Drake

MVC Third Team:
-Tucker DeVries, Drake
-Cooper Neese, Indiana State

Knight didn't play enough for me to get on any of the teams but he was more productive than most when he played.

Could go to AJ Green here since Northern Iowa won the MVC regular season but Mosley was the best player all year.

I'm not saying Lance should be 1st team. I think his foot injury and the long period of not playing well precludes that, but why exactly would Roberts make the first team?

Just some MVC stats:

Scoring - Jones 8th , Roberts not in top 15

Steals - Jones 1st , Roberts (and Sturtz) 2nd

3 pt FG made per game - Jones 3rd , Roberts not in top 10

3 pt FG % - Jones 6th (39.6%) , Roberts not in top 10

Rebounding - Jones not in top 15 , Roberts 12th  (Sturtz 2nd)

Assists - Jones not in top 10 , Roberts 1st

TOs  - Jones 43 , Roberts 55 (not sure who led MVC but probably Roberts)

Ben Coupet by the way led the MVC in 3 pt FG % at 44.6% 

I think Rienk Mast has a case at first team over Terry Roberts or even Antonio Reeves. 

Doesn't mean everything but KenPom has Roberts 3rd on their All-MVC team:

How does Lance not make 3rd, and how in the world does Coupet not land on the all newcomer team?

Lance Jones not getting at least 3rd team all mvc is a joke! I also think Coupet should have been on the all newcomer team. At least Lance was recognized on the all defensive team. Lance has come a long way defensively.

To be honest I'd consider Givance on Evansville the biggest all-conference snub, though I'd probably have put both him and Jones over Neese on the third team. Glad Lance was placed on the all-defensive team; that is deserved.

Still think Mosely should have been POY.

Would have put Jones and Givance over Roman Penn.  Jones was arguably the best defender in the league not named Lucas Williamson and has the stats too

I know it is a guard dominated league, but I am scratching my head over the omission of Lance Jones on any of the All-Valley offensive teams. Perhaps getting a lack of respect plays well for Lance on Friday and he can show he does belong there. I thought he was a lock for at least 3rd team.

Jones should've gotten 3rd team over Penn. Here's to him using this snub as motivation to wreck havoc on teams next year.
