11-0 run by Loyola to take a 19-18 lead. Ramblers haven't played well at all but can go into the half with a lead.
Loyola goes on a 19-0 run but Drake ends the half on a 7-0 run. 27-25 Loyola at halftime
These are both tournament teams if you ask me. Shame only the winner makes it probably
These teams have been good for several years and attendance is still abysmal for the championship game. I promise when SIU makes it to Sunday that place will be packed.
The tournament still had a lot of restrictive mandates in place which certainly doesn't help.
Missouri State's, predictable, loss yesterday was bad for the league. Had they made the final, I think they had a good shot at an NIT bid. Now it looks like only 2 teams will be playing in meaningful post season tournys despite 4 of them being qualified in my opinion.
And Loyola wins the Missouri Valley
Hey, I'll play.........................
#8 Illinois State over #9 Indiana State
#7 Valparaiso over #10 Evansville#1 Northern Iowa over #8 Illinois State
#4 Loyola Chicago over #5 Bradley
#2 Missouri State over #7 Valparaiso
#3 Drake over #6 SIU (man I hope I'm wrong)#4 Loyola Chicago over #1 Northern Iowa
#3 Drake over #2 Missouri State#4 Loyola Chicago over #3 Drake
Tournament MVP: Lucas Williamson
My one caveat is that IF SIU does beat Drake, which is entirely possible, they will go on to beat either Missouri State or Valpo, who I think could give Missouri State a run for their $$
According to my wife, I'm never right, but in this case I was dead on. Picked every game...........although I doubt Williamson gets the MVP, I think that will go to Norris.

Very nice job!
One bid Valley…very disappointing considering most thought with the talent this year, two was a forgone conclusion. Let’s hope they can make a run and some money for the MVC and then fuk off to the A-10

I honestly thought it was a near "guarantee" that we'd have a minimum of 2 bids and possibly a 3rd if things went well. And although it's premature to make these guesses without even knowing who is coming back, leaving, etc, I think the league will be back to a 2-3 bid league next season if cards fall the right way.

I think Drake, Murray State, and Bradley are gonna be the 3 favorites next year and then some combination of Belmont, Northern Iowa, Missouri State, and SIU in the 2nd tier depending on how all their offseasons go. I think there's a good chance of 2 bids with the additions of Murray and Belmont but teams have to take care of business in non-conference.

That bolded line is EXACTLY what teams in the valley didn't do this year. If Mo State, Drake, or UNI got a couple quality wins in the non-con and didn't lose to some crap teams in UNI and Mo State's case, we'd be talking about 2 maybe 3 teams.
