These teams have been good for several years and attendance is still abysmal for the championship game. I promise when SIU makes it to Sunday that place will be packed.
The tournament still had a lot of restrictive mandates in place which certainly doesn't help.
I did not think of that, but imagine a future SIU vs Murray championship game. They’d be able to pull the curtain back off of the 200-level.

This is what I dream of. SIU and Murray packing the place. We need to give our fans a reason to go to Arch Madness.

Absolutely YES !!!!!! I know of at least 1 Hoosier who would love to get back to Arch Madness.
One bid Valley…very disappointing considering most thought with the talent this year, two was a forgone conclusion. Let’s hope they can make a run and some money for the MVC and then fuk off to the A-10
I honestly thought it was a near "guarantee" that we'd have a minimum of 2 bids and possibly a 3rd if things went well. And although it's premature to make these guesses without even knowing who is coming back, leaving, etc, I think the league will be back to a 2-3 bid league next season if cards fall the right way.
I think Drake, Murray State, and Bradley are gonna be the 3 favorites next year and then some combination of Belmont, Northern Iowa, Missouri State, and SIU in the 2nd tier depending on how all their offseasons go. I think there's a good chance of 2 bids with the additions of Murray and Belmont but teams have to take care of business in non-conference.
I see UNI and Murray as the top tier next year, then next tier down is Missouri State if Mosley is back.
Northern Iowa is likely to lose AJ Green, possibly going professional but the rumors are he might be transferring to Iowa State to join his dad and improve his draft stock. Northern Iowa is likely looking at a bit of a rebuilding year next year but really depends on how they hit the transfer portal.

Man did he scuffle against Loyola in the semis. That was ugly. Maybe he can end on a better note in the NIT.

Good for the Valley, not so great for SIU. If Mosley is back I can't pick SIU to finish ahead of them even with them losing Prim. Guessing Ford is gonna hit the transfer portal hard and they have NJ Benson coming in who we wanted.

Curious where you've seen that he's likely to leave? If he stays UNI boasts a starting line up featuring Green, Carter, and Born which is a pretty tough big 3.

Northern Iowa fans on their message board and over on MVCFans are pretty nervous about him leaving. Apparently there's been rumors coming out of Iowa State that he might head there. I think they were nervous about Noah Carter possibly leaving too.

I honestly think that Prim is the difference for them against SIU. He kills us. I think that we came take them with Mosley! Of course, time will tell!
Yeah just depends who Missouri State would add via the transfer portal. They do have big man NJ Benson coming in but he obviously isn't making up for Prim in his true Freshman year. I think this was the year they had to win with Mosley/Prim but just Mosley alone should make them a contender since he'd be the obvious leader for Larry Bird Trophy.
When I saw Mosley against SIU I thought this guy is going to play in the NBA. However I saw a different Mosley in St Louis. He scored and had some nice assists but seemed sloppy and lackadaisical at times.
Donovan Clay could be an outstanding player for MSU. He defended Domask very well, probably better than anyone. He is extremely versatile but needs to be consistent at a higher level.
