I've seen at least twice where Domask missed getting the ball to Muila on the pick and roll which would have likely ended in a thunderous dunk. I know it's coming.................

If this is what JD can do on defense in just his 2nd game, I cannot wait to see what he can do once he gets 10+ games of experience in. It will be fun to watch him, Coupet and Jones on D when they have played more together.

Was critical of halftime adjustments in the Little Rock game but great adjustments tonight.
I don't what was said at halftime but I hope it was recorded and they play before and at halftime of every game this year.

A very disappointing turn of events. Nearly 2 full games and the 3 touted freshmen and only D'Amico has played. I was optimistic about Wonders but was cautious to get too excited because you just never know if a player can defend at this level. I "know" Barkeep was also high on this kid as well. Insane that a kid was one of the top 5 players in the state of MI and didn't show well enough during the summer to be able to play.

Jones had 22 pts in the 2nd half, while not hitting his 3s. 5 -6 FTs, 8 - 12 FGs, mostly highlight reel drives to the basket. Also had two steals, 3 assists, only 2 TOs and only 1 foul. Good game. Lance is the Marion Toyota Player of the Game. His Dad was at the game.

We play against Colorado like we did in the 2nd half and they won't beat us by Spike's 50 or at all.

The competition in the UP is not great.
There are very few players on SIU's schedule, or even in the country, that can stop Jones one on one. He is just that quick. To think he scored 22pts and did not shoot well from 3 when he normally is out best shooter, goes to show you that he can take over a game. We know Domask can do the same thing. The more I see Coupet play, the more my thoughts are confirmed, that he is going to add key elements to this team (length, defense, athleticism, etc). And lastly while it WAS the Jones show in the 2nd half, I really thought Muila was also critical. His D and quickness is something this team simply didn't have last year down low. Please don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Filewich and know he is an important player, but in my honest opinion (and that's all it is), I think this team has a higher ceiling with Muila on the floor. All in all, I got what I expected tonight, a victory. I still expect to lose to Colorado, but if this team plays like they have shown in spurts so far, they CAN beat them.
