Lost 6 of the last 8. Sole possession of 8th place in a weak league.
Veteran team, veteran coach. Hello Thursday night.
At least Bradley has a get well game coming up Saturday.

Too bad we stopped tracking Hucky’s resume. His head-to-head record vs. Muller and his record at Redbird Arena might be worthy additions.
Why does anyone think SIU will suddenly grow a spine and stand up to its big booster and why would anyone think that booster would suddenly sour on Hinson?
Plenty have offered reasons why in this thread.
Comes down to timing. They either have to renew him or fire him at the end of this season. Next season WILL be a disaster.
Kill won't be left with egg on his face by renewing the contract of a coach who just massively under performed heading in to a total rebuild. Jerry hates to look bad. He has set a standard in public. This flop does not meet his standards. I wouldn't be so sure if it wasn't for the timing on the contract.
Well Jerry already looks bad because of his support of this piece of shit coach last spring so again, I will believe it when I see it.
Yea Jerry Kill, the guy who actively campaigned for Hinson to keep his job if people are to believed, wouldnt want egg m his face LOL
you guys seem to forget last season was a “done deal” until it wasnt. At the end of the day you know who is the one who will make the final call and SIU has shown no will or spine to overrule him. If you all want to count on the freaking AD who helped save his job to about face and overrule the big money go right ahead.
John Dunn gets the final call, not Kill. Kill is an advisor.

Embarrassing is the only word that I can now associate to SIU. I am so close now to never caring again about SIU or athletics. Something that has been a part of my life for 50 years, is on life support. The passion that we all have about this university, is quickly reaching IDGAF. The next few months will help make my decision of any further involvement.

So which is it: Kill is going to fire him because he doesn’t want egg on his face or kill is just an advisor so really Dunn’s thoughts are what matter?
This situation is mind boggling. Hinson has to date survived three AD’s and numerous Chancellors and although there have been several attempts to get him out he is still here. No matter who is to blame on this past springs failed attempt to get Hinson out one thing I believe we can all agree on is if Kill doesn’t want his name to be tarnished anymore on this situation he has to get Hinson out sooner rather than later . He wants to rebuild the athletic program and IT CANNOT BE Done without Men’s basketball leading the way .

I agree!
They don't care.

At 147 we are 3rd in valley behind Loyola and drake, the rest is lower stopping at Bradly at 235, and hucky this is why no at large spots are given to mid majors. waiting on a comment saying we are only 2 games out of first.

And 9th in the standings.

They don't care.
Please elaborate. I don't understand your post.
(1) Who, exactly, is the 'they' when you write that 'they' don't care?
(2) And what exactly is it that 'they' don't care about?
Based on the post(s) that you're responding to I can guess, but I want to know, for sure, what you're trying to say.
(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”

And this has not translated to results in a MVC where the top two are not Wichita and Creighton but Valparaiso and Loyola. Two former Horizon teams.
You’re telling me we are behind the eight all in a Valley that is the absolute weakest in many years if perhaps ever? Save me the NET rankings at this stage. If SIU was somehow in the top 100 I could see that argument but we aren’t.
