Ebube is close to as bad as JD at FTs but not nearly as prolific at LVCs (Lane Violations Caused).
Another chance for an LVC for SE.
Pretty obvious the gameplan is to attack the basket at will. Whatever they're doing is working
Playing waaaay better D than the other night. Probably can't keep that up when fatigue sets in. Gargoyles lacking intensity - good sign.
Helps that we've already played 9 so far, but yes it's not easy to keep that intensity up for 40 minutes.
X might be on triple double watch. 7 points/6 assists/4 rebounds with 4:48 left in the 1st half
Where is Ferguson!?
Where is Ferguson!?
He started and played well. Just getting some rest here with Davis subbing in.
Where is Ferguson!?
had to put his hand in a bucket of ice water to cool off
4 -4 12 pts in 10 mins
Ebube didn't convert that fast break but after it happened, instead of hanging his head, he ran his tail off to get back on D. Very nice to see.
SIU 45
Bradley 24
Halftime
Xavier Johnson with 12 points/6 assists/4 rebounds at the half
Not a lot of Hensley and no sighting of Stulic in the first half. I would have thought, with Leons and Hannah that Hensley would get some decent minutes. That being said, they obviously didn't need him in the first half.
SIU has some ridiculous winning record (think it's undefeated) when they score 75 points. They're well on their way, although still not a guarantee.
SE also made 3 of 5 FTs somehow - that's great.
Bradley playing like they're road weary or something - hope they keep it up, but I'm betting they'll be better 2nd half.
We just have to keep playing great D. I like how we've moved the ball on O too. AJ Ferguson has been huge - he came to kick ass tonight! Love it.
Also, we shot 59% and 50% from three - world of difference from 36% the other night.
Held Leons to 2 points, both on free throws. Bradley shooting 33.3% as a team
What a half and what a response from the Drake game. Wow. Love the effort on the glass and aggressive drives on offense.
Guessing we’ll see an angry BU squad in the second half.
Well that's just a bad call. Not sure how the refs didn't see that out on Bradley
