huge misuse of a TO - should just let them play through the blowout...like Roy Williams would do!
We knew with this schedule that we were going to start out with a rough record. In fact, the only loss that was somewhat unexpected was to Eastern Kentucky. We are playing without, arguably, our best player and our team leader (Mayo) has not been the same player he was the last couple of years.
This team has a lot of flaws (No PG, can't shoot 3, misses too many bunnies, etc) but I still have hope that this team can get better as the season goes on.
All that being said, there is no way the line should have been less than 7 in this game, in other words, something isn't right with the line. I typically will not bet a "stinky line " but I simply could not pass this one up. Based on the line alone though, I wouldn't be surprised if SIU someone makes this a close game.
A better front court would go a long way. Massey is a nice reserve player. Considering Hensley is a 5th year player he is pretty awful. It is such a bad front court the guards can largely be isolated.
Would love to see Aligbe get more run including starts.
