Our defensive strategy is called, “Hope they miss.”  Not working tonight.

Like it or not, analytics has made it so you HAVE to shoot a lot of 3s and shoot them well

Things trickle down from the NBA where more teams are playing 5 out and launching threes with reckless abandon.

College teams don't all have the skill sets to support this, but you still have to shoot a lot of 3s and shoot them well. This is a concern with Nagy's more old school approach, even though I think he is a good coach.

This is embarrassing. I don’t care if it’s a complete rebuild or not. I’m becoming so apathetic with this program.

Ok, I've seen enough to know Sharpe needs to be starting over Mayo going forward. And when Aligbe is healthy, he needs to be starting over Massey.  Massey is a reservoir player at best and I'd rather live with Aligbe cutting his teeth than Massey missing bunnies all day.

To add on to my earlier comment you can still play through the post in college if you have a big man like Luka Garza or Zach Edey.

SIU does not have a good front court and I hope we adapt to open driving lanes for the guards, although much easier said than done.

I'm SO glad this staff went out and recruited a couple of really good shooters for next season.  I have no idea if it's correct statistically speaking but this team sure does look like one of the worst shooting teams that I can recall in the past 10-20 years.

Davis is 3 - 11 tonight. He's not a great shooter. Hensley may be our best shooter, which means we don't have a single good shooter on this team - killer!

Sykes has played 1 minute tonight.

Bradley is making SIU look like a bunch of chumps.  SIU needs to develop some toughness and increase the level of effort.  They have developed a habit of falling behind in the first half and then trying to get it all back before time runs out.  Again, let’s see a new level of effort and focus right outta the gate.  GO DAWGS!
