Now that we have the Aligbe brothers, it got me wondering how many sets of brothers have played basketball at SIU. I remember Corky and Wayne Abrams from the 1970's.

Also, we have a player named Prince Ali now! The sign potential is enormous. Aladdin references galore.
Yes, he and his brother Greg played 1 year for SIU. Thad was a freshman and Greg was older. They played for Rich Herrin's first team that was really bad. They both hardly played and transferred the next year. Thad went on to have a nice career as a player for 3 years at Butler. He then went on to coach at Butler, Xavier, Ohio State and back to Butler.Weren't Thad Matta and his brother at SIU for a year?

I partied with both Matta brothers. Thad was a good boy, but Greg was a wild man.
