Let the transfers begin
If Lane is leaving then either someone is absent at the wheel or Leonard was done with Mullins.
Something doesn’t add up.
I was literally going to say, but didn't want to seem cold or unempathetic, but PERHAPS (not a statement) that Mullins might be better suited to be an assistant or associate head coach vs being THE head coach? I do think that someday, in the right situation (including a better staff that can actually recruit) he could be successful as a head coach either at this, or a lower mid major, level.
It's funny. Today feels so much different than the last two times we've here for personnel changes in the Men's basketball program.
Well that was quick, but at least they didn't let it linger for days.
I feel awful for the players and the staff. Just couldn't make it happen. These players are really great young men and have represented SIU well. Coach Mullins included. I wish them the best of luck in the future, here or elsewhere.
Thanks to them all for being great Salukis.
I've enjoyed Saluki basketball more in the past few years than I did from 2009-2019 combined. Mullins really needs to improve in some areas as a coach, but I was hoping we'd give him another 1-2 years to try. Not looking forward to a full reset.
Thank you Bryan for everything positive that you poured into this program.
You really can't finish a season the way the Salukis did this year and expect to keep your job. Three must win games and you lose all three, including one to a 20 loss team in the first round of the tournament.
Just a brutal finish, and I honestly don't blame the SIU Athletic dept.

Those were two of the most glorious days of my life. Today, I'm just sad.
This for me is similar to the way I felt when Rich Herrin was fired. I understand we should expect better results but really feel bad that it had to end this way. I will always respect Bryan and cheer for him wherever he is unless of course it's against the Salukis. Bryan is and will always be a great Saluki.
Well the A&M coach was Lanes guy.
Lane is also gone
let the search begin
how do we know lane is gone?
