Trent is playing light years better than he has in a couple seasons. Absolutely love Davis’ activity level and give his offense some time. Looks like D’Amico is finding his sea legs.

My biggest concern through 2.5 games is Miller not giving much offensively.

According to Trent, he is FINALLY 100% healthy.

I agree with your concern about Miller.  I was quite high on him, especially since we have him for a few more years.  I'm also surprised that McGee has basically brought nothing to the team so far.  Also surprised that Ebube didn't do more in the first half.  I think he will make an impact here in the 2nd half.

Think Ebube's problem was he had 2 fouls pretty quickly

We have struggled against athletic teams the last several years. I can't imagine we will play a team this year that is more athletic than Chicago state is. These guys are one of the most purely athletic teams i have seen in a long long time. If their twin big men were eligible, they could be legit damn good.

I'm surprised Ebube and Rupert aren't more involved inside.  This isn't really a tall Chicago State team

It'd be nice if we could pull away a bit

That was one of the few times this year where the offense looked liked last year.  Nothing doing and then last second shot (luckily X made it).

McGee started here and there but was mostly a garbage time backup at Tulane.

That block by Davis. 😍

He will be playing a lot of minutes for this team. Does a lot well and a great athlete with length.

@spike

He averaged more than 17 minutes per game the last 3 seasons and started in quite a few of those.  They must have played mostly Div II and III teams.  : )

Have you seen the Gargoyles this year? Pretty athletic and way better than Chi. St. When we don't shoot well and XJ is not playing, I fear some MVC teams will kick our butts.

We haven't played well in this game IMO - just look more disorganized and not using our bigs as much. Maybe we'll get some rhythm last 10 minutes.

XJ has really taken a step up this year.  Not only in his scoring, but his passing as well.  Let's NOT let them back in this thing.

@mr_woogers

Funny, I was JUST thinking about how we were finally starting to look more fluid the last 2-4 minutes.

Let's finish strong.

This is the third game of the season.  Brown, X, D'Amico and Rupert are the only players that had real game time together.  It sure would be nice if we could give this team a chance to blend before we constantly run them down.  Maybe some of you just want to be in a position to say "I said it first!"
