Domask back in. Didn't look too bad, maybe a minor ankle sprain. Kind of wish they just sat him though.
Hard to believe my Cubbies actually went 39-31 after the All-Star break... of course they haven't made a huge splash in free agent signings yet (Bellinger and Taillon are OK, but no wow factor for either one).Chicago State lost on the road to 2-6 Bethune Cookman... by 13 points. And they're beating the Dawgs right now.
I wish I could say there's a decent Chicago pro team I could get distracted by right now... but the Bears are dead last in the NFC, the Blackhawks are dead last in the NHL, and the Bulls are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
Tough to be a Saluki fan in Chicagoland right about now.
You forgot to say the Cardinals pounded the Cubs this year! LOL
We played well while Marcus was out.
Don't think we need him in here to beat this team - let it heal
Chicago State is shooting 27.9% and down just 8
@goroshnik and now Contreras is a Card..my nephew (Card hater/Cub lover) is in pain!!

Bellinger has been absolutely lost the last 3 years, culminating with a .200 season. The Cubs Execs promised they would make moves to try and win this season... so far, so BAD. As far as their 2nd half record, it was typical Cubs, they won when they should have been losing to get better draft picks. Sorry, I'm a DIEhard fan, but the owners won their WS and just quit on the fans. But this is for another thread of course.
Newton has been a difference maker on defense tonight but his offense remains hit or miss, and much more miss than hit. At least 3 wide open 3's that he has missed. Let's get Wonders or Brown out there.

Wonders hasn't played this half which isn't great
Just a lazy performance. Tons of unforced turnovers, per usual.

Absolutely agree. I am confident this team will win by 10+ but the fact that the game was never truly "in hand", which allowed some of the bench to get some quality PT, is no bueno.
SIU is really lucky Chicago State is shooting 32% and a usually good FT shooting team can't make free throws.
Wonders can at least score - Newton throwing the ball away - overpassing
4 Chicago St players have 4 fouls. I'm almost like to see this game go to OT just to see if they could field a full team. LOL
Jones has made 7 of 8 FT's and it has made a difference tonight. Very happy to see.
