@garywilsonfan Yeah, Dayton, Iowa is not on the list until a few more coaches decline.
I have been looking at Dayton assistant coaches, and no one really jumps out at me. I also know Wright State is there, but Nagy already makes a salary I am not sure we could compete with.
Had a feeling Nagy was being looked at, but talked myself out of it based on salary.
Again, if this is like a 3 year deal and paired with a talented young assistant who is the coach in waiting I genuinely really like this.
Nagy with a Ben Howlett type as top assistant would be fantastic.
Probably what should have been done with Mullins, who only has 4 years as an assistant before.
Just think. Is this best we can due? So the hire might say we want some stability because he will be 57 and a 6 year contract which puts him at 64 when he is at the end. Did we want an up and coming coach and IF successful moves on? Or is this a safe hire where we know that he will be here for the long haul. Or is this the best we can do because other coaches are not looking at this as a job that can progress their future to bigger things.

We just hired a dude with a 18-15 and 18-14 mark the last 2 years!?!?!? Holy cow. What an absolute disgrace.
You made your mind up that any hire was going to be an absolute disgrace the second it was announced Mullins would be let go.
@saluki-4-life the guy has has his teams in 5 NCAA’s, 3 NIT’s, and a cbi in the last 12 years. Sounds great to me.
