If that's the case, I'm guessing Krabbenhoft. There will be an official announcement tomorrow.
I wasn't my wife's first choice either, maybe not even in her top ten, but I persevered.
Hefferman??
😉
Ya know, you always make fun of the beat reporter until he no longer beats, ya know what I'm saying?
Lou Henson!
Just wait'll you watch THAT flight tracker... you thought Madison was a long trip, how about the Great Beyond? 😉
@obd The moment news broke that Lowery got fired it was the beginning of class in the communications building. I just stared at my phone in disbelief. And stared. And just stared some more. A guy behind me did a half-nod, half-volume, "Ohh, mmmhmm yeah" type things and all I could think was, "Duuuude. WTF!? It finally happened! Do you know how huge this is!?" 😀

Hope not. Sigh.
I’m willing to give this one a chance. Good recruiter, associate head coach at 37 in the Big Ten, from Illinois and can recruit the Midwest. I think he’s personally much better than the Devin Johnson option we were told about early in the process.
I admit he sounds a lot like Bryan but can he make adjustments in-game and fill out a better roster/staff? That will be the key here.
(The source I’m using specifically mentioned his name but I can’t confirm if this is done yet)
@salukiworld Looks like he’s probably popular with the players, too.
Edit: Just realized you may not be referring to JK.
If it is the Wisconsin guy, there were a LOT of Madison people who wanted him to replace Gard. He’s highly (gulp) regarded.
no joke, though. Highly thought of.
my buddy played football for the badgers and he said he’s surprised that he’s held on without a head coaching job this long.
trying to contact a former badger hooper (my wife’s friend) to get his thoughts, too.

He's from South Dakota. Wisconsin plays a dull brand of ball. I don't know a ton about his recruiting rep, but if that could be established, I'd feel a little better about it.
I don't mind an assistant coach, but he would not match any of the requirements that the AD laid out. I sure hope he gets announced tomorrow so that we can get into the portal as early as possible. Any Wisconsin guys that he can bring with him??
Look at it this way, folks. The last B1G assistant coach we hired turned out pretty good.
Who cares what kind of “ball” he plays if he can win. Is it about entertaining or winning?
