Interesting. Looks like the MVC is actively considering expansion. If the right teams are offered, I think its a smart move.

College sports is on it's way to a tragic death where only the big names will compete this realignment garbage may even kill lesser teams in super conferences

USC also shared that, beginning this upcoming academic year, all student-athletes, whether on scholarship or not, will have the opportunity to receive up to $5,980 annually in direct financial support in the form of academic achievement awards, consistent with the Supreme Court's recent Alston ruling.

In the past few months I've seen several big name universities announce that they'll be doing that sort of thing.

I'm curious whether SIU is planning any sort of financial support for its athletes, or whether an NIL collective is in the works.

I know it'd be on a much smaller scale, but it'd be nice if they could put something together.
