LOL Barkeep! I don't want to argue with the boss, but Pags has changed over time. Not what it used to be. Joe's Special was always another favorite of mine but something about the way they make their pies isn't what I grew up with. I don't know what happened. We used to get this at home more often than Quatros, but during college who can beat the Wednesday night pizza and pitcher specials 🙂 Fell in love with it and never looked back.
Quatros is good pizza but I think it’s the rare pizza that gets better the day after. When I come up to Carbondale now, I usually stop in before I leave and take a whole pizza on the road.
I never really thought Pag’s was anything special. I always thought it was good but I would have always chosen Quatro’s if given the choice but I’m also a more recent student than most and have heard about a decline in quality over time.
Not sure about Primo’s pizza (although it was always the best pizza for the price) but their calzones were excellent.
When I was down there Quatros had a large pizza and 2 64 oz sodas for $10 on Sundays

They WILL let you substitute!

? I've ordered so many Quatros from Saluki Stadium in the last minute of the game, they have my number on file! Delicious last Fall as always - and took away the bad taste of losing to the Redturds!!

Didn't realize I was kicking off such a significant discussion and totally off-topic 🤣 Barkeep - enjoy your pizza wherever you end up, but if it's at Pags I hope you have a better experience than my last trip. I plan to bring my son down to a game next winter and I always get Quatro's for the road when I make it back to the Dale.
