Darius lands at Cal State Northridge
He certainly did not live up to the expectations of many.

I don't know if dad landed anywhere or not.
Darius seems to be lost in his college basketball journey.
I bet Darius wishes he could turn back time and stick it out with Mullins and Co. I know he averaged nearly 30 MPG at NIU and he ultimately probably wouldn't have been more than a bench player at SIU, but it's always nice to get grounded in one place and become familiar with a system and culture. Sometimes a lot of your troubles are simply being on the move too much.
The extra COVID year is wild, can't believe he has eligibility left

I mean, it will be a 5th season and he will be 23 at the end of it.
Ben Coupet just finished up with SIU in March after 6 seasons at 24 years old.

I thought the window had closed for entering the portal.

Yeah, no idea. I think they had a few players enter today so maybe they just put it through late? Not sure how that works.
His Dad was supposed to be an assistant at CSUN, but the HC got fired or suspended before the season. Darius didn't play much for CSUN. Saw him a little bit - still no outside shot. Following his Dad around (actually the other way around apparently) sure messed up his college career.
@mr_woogers gotta know what your talking about to speak it. if you watched a few games you would see his team was terrible. Head coach had him playing different positions. Had two kids shooting over half the shots every game who weren’t very good themselves also he missed a bunch of games. Hopefully he finds the right fit.
@uncledawgpound lol this isn’t a power 5 school. We have 3 guys scoring double digits and it’s not very high except for domask. The mvc is not the same as is used to be Clearly and We’ve still only had 1 season under Mullins so for far over .500 in conference in which we won by 1 game which was his first year here. So hopefully this year things change. So I’m not sure about “bench player” but possibly.
@salukiworld we had coupet? Who was a 6th year to be exact so that is kind of wild too and led us in scoring behind two other guys. Hopefully we make a run at it this year

So he does have an outside shot? LOL
He's just an average (if that) college guard. Averaged 21 mins. and 5.7 pts. per game on an awful team. Started just 6 games.
Fact is, he didn't play much at NIU toward the end of his last season there, and they were a bad team with one high scoring player (not Darius).
I have nothing against the kid at all but he was over-hyped, and it's a real shame he had to follow his Dad around. His college transcript must look like Sanskrit.
@mr_woogers he didn’t play much at the end for other reasons announced during their last game against central Michigan by the announcers. One of the few games I got to catch. Again gotta know what you talking about before you just type buddy. LOL
even though nobody really cares or reads these because neither of us have played at any level first off LOL.. the first 10 games of the season he averaged 13 led the teams in points rebounds and assist AND steals before his coach got fired 7 games into the season after being there for 7 years.
As for CSUN apparently he got hurt during the middle of the season and didn’t play too well after. Hopefully we see a full recovery this year.
you seemed concerned we should be worried about our season LOL all the good teams left hopefully we can get over .500 in conference 🤞
