It's all perspective. Now don't get me wrong, the fact that we were dominated by the top 2 teams is disheartening, but I think a vast majority of us would have been ecstatic to learn, preseason, that the Salukis would be 12-5 overall and 4-2 in conference. I had this team around 17-18 wins before the season began. There are six games between now and the rematch @ Drake, if the Salukis can go 4-2 or even 5-1 (not that they will), then I think our recent hope was deserved.
All that said, this community and fan base deserves a winner and if Mullins isn't going to at least challenge for Valley titles, I'm more than fine moving on (of course I'd be sad but I'd get over it).
I really don’t know where I am at right now. I love Bryan as a coach and person. A true Saluki in every way. I just can’t anymore it’s been so long. This year ain’t it and we lose 3 starters at least . I am in the give up ledge
Walked out of Bannterena Saturday night into the snowfall swearing under my breath and feeling bad about the lousy performance just ended. Somewhat like BK. After time to digest, still disappointed naturally, but hoping for many reasons (especially for BK), that a Bradley win will cure the hangover.
March on triumphantly!
Has anyone else noticed during a game Brendan Mullins walks up to Bryan Mullins near the center court while the game is going on, that he will motion him to move back? Ive noticed this on more than one occasion... Im wondering is he stubborn and wont listen to his assistants or am I reading more into it?
I have made a concentrated effort to avoid posting directly after a loss, particularly after a blow out. My emotions turning to words can definitely get the worse of me. Certainly no issues after wins, as they are all good.
If memory serves me, I remember being both emotionally and visibly upset after losses during the seven year run of post season tournaments. Saturday we had an opportunity once again to shine on National TV, and we were exposed and embarrassed. I turned the game off with 7 minutes left, and watched a stand up comedian on Netflix, laughing away the debacle that had just transpired.
Drake, Indiana State, and quite possibly Bradley are on tier level one. We obviously are not there yet in year five. I remember both Drake and Indiana State being the doormats of this conference during our hey day. Interesting how things have evolved ...........
Every team has someone to keep the HC in check. Has to be an assistant. In football it’s normally the strength coach — since they have nothing to do on game day.Has anyone else noticed during a game Brendan Mullins walks up to Bryan Mullins near the center court while the game is going on, that he will motion him to move back? I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
@beadmedaddio Its like Bryan is telling his brother Stop and to go back to the bench when Brendan is trying to share something with him that he sees in the game
@swcr-saluki I’m sure Bryan is telling him that. No HC wants to be told what to do. I’m telling you, as soon as that assistant hears a warning coming out of the ref’s mouth, that assistant is simply doing what they have been tasked to do. No big deal.

Sometimes I believe Brendan tells Brian how many fouls someone has I have noticed that as well
