I fully admit that I am a homer. I fully admit that I am biased. But where this article ranks Mullins (280 out of 357) is bordering on criminal. I am calling it now...........he will jump more spots in next years rankings than any other head coach.

This list is terrible. I am not even sure it was researched at all
Years ago, I was friends with a SI writer who has since passed. He said it was not all that uncommon to purposely make controversial lists simply to increase interest and publication. Maybe same.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

If you add the years Mullins played from 2005-2009 to his coaching history his rankings would be a lot higher.

Any list that has Jim Les and Dave Leito above anybody should just be ignored
@barkeep-1967 Even with the low rating the blurb was very fair led you to believe the future is bright but of course we already new that
In rankings like this, inexperienced coaches with little experience leading a program are always going to be ranked low (no matter who is compiling it). The good news is this list means nothing and has no impact on the season. Just go out on the court and win games (assuming we play a season).

Yep, pretty meaningless poll. Mullins should be higher but he also had a 16-16 record in year 1 which doesn't look so good from an outside point of view. Obviously, we know that 16-16 is pretty impressive given the turnover on last year's team and injuries.
Seems to be rating teams potential rather than coaching talent.
