Francois following Gooch and Jeremic out the door, per Verbal Commits Twitter.

At least four open scholarships this spring. Hope the staff is ready to do some damage.

Whoa wasn't expecting this.  Francois was good at the beginning, hit a rough patch, but generally finished strong.  Not really liking this much turnover assuming Cook goes.  Granted Mullins and his staff proved last year they can put together a good class on short notice.

Karrington and Francois seemed tight, is he going to be gone too?

Like pretty much the whole bench, Francois struggled quite a bit, but he showed a few flashes here and there. I was curious if he could make some strides for his junior year. Oh well ...

So far we have lost two guys that only played because of foul trouble and the last guard off the bench. And Cook did not play this year.  I am confident in what Bryan brings in

I for one am hoping this is the end of the defections.... I guess when you have to sign so many in year one, this is to be expected. Gooch and Jeremic were to be expected , because of playing time.  Possibly , this is for the same reason Harwin found himself behind more people than he would’ve liked on the depth chart.

Yeah, I'm not pushing the panic button here.  I hope Francois has success elsewhere but there's no doubt in my mind they can find someone that matches his skill or exceeds it.  I'm just not a fan of so much turnover after one year.  I get that's the state of college basketball right now when it comes to mid-majors and it'll get even worse once they institute the no sit rule but I'd rather have more stability, especially with guys Mullins brought in.  I get Gooch and Cook leaving being Hinson guys.

That being said, the current staff has given us no reason not to trust them right now.

Not shocked. Francois didn’t play in the game against Bradley in STL and I mentioned to the guy I was with that something must have been up as he played in every other gm. Not sure what happened but his time did diminish.... onward and upward.

Harvey is/was going to take major minutes away from potential Francois and Davis minutes so this isn't surprising.

I’m hoping it’s not Davis or AC leaving the program. The other unnamed person, I’m ok with.

Now it is being reported that Karrington Davis has entered his name in the transfer portal.  And while I wasn't as big a fan as some were of him, this is presenting a problem.  Some say that this happens when you have to bring in so many.  Well now we're already up to 5 gone. That means the staff will have to scramble to bring in at least 5 so it's possible that we'll be seeing the SAME thing next year.

It certainly is not the end of the world and there should be no need for panic, but at the same time it's not ideal for the program.  What would YOU think if you were a possible recruit ??

None of the players leaving on their own is too big a deal, but I agree that having to fill five or more scholarships in a spring period is not ideal. Last year's large class is starting to prove that point with multiple kids washing out of the program quickly.

And now Cook's future takes on additional prominence as another defection, especially of his caliber, would start to give this offseason an uncomfortable vibe, at least until some quality new recruits start coming aboard.

It's tough to read the minds of 17 year olds, but what it shows for me is that the players transferring can clearly see that they will not have increased playing time next year.  No players (as of now) that will be starters have chosen to transfer.  That, in addition to the epidemic of transfers nowadays seem to be what they are doing.

Hinson had players transfer that were starters or at least key players.  That is not happening w/ Mullins. (as of now)

I'm not concerned, at this time, who's fault it is or why it's happening.  The fact remains that there are now 5, possibly more, spots to fill in short order (with social distancing).  So, I'm saying that around this time next year we will be talking about the same thing.  It's easy to fill 5 spots when you're Duke, Kansas, etc. it's not when you're in the MVC.  I think the players that came in, and are leaving from, last years recruiting show exactly that.
