Remember the guys leaving are all last minute pick ups. Bryan had 3 months to fill the roster. He had no relationship with these kids. He has now had a year to work on new relationships. No concern here
Gosh, I wonder why we were/are offering guards?!

I am not that concerned. I agree with the thought that the staff has now had a year to make contacts and develop relationships with recruits and is much better positioned to handle this type of thing. I would think that the staff has talked individually with the players and given them an idea of what to expect and what plans are going forward and that is probably creating these moves. I wish Gooch the best and hope he lands somewhere that he can get good playing time and contribute, he was a solid teammate I think.
Jeremic had no real chance of playing. Harwin and Karrington are a bit of a surprise but not earth shattering. I would have liked to see how Karrington could have improved from this year to the next and think he could have been a real contributor. Also you never know how many outside voices are in their ear either.
I have trust and faith in this coach and the staff. I will just look forward to what the future brings!
It would have been nice to keep both Davis and Francois around, and particularly Davis as he looked like he could turn into a really good player down the road. However, if we can hold on to AC and bring in a few bigs I still love this team with Jones, Domask, and Harvey on the wing; that will be one heckuva trio.
I'm not concerned, at this time, who's fault it is or why it's happening. The fact remains that there are now 5, possibly more, spots to fill in short order (with social distancing). So, I'm saying that around this time next year we will be talking about the same thing. It's easy to fill 5 spots when you're Duke, Kansas, etc. it's not when you're in the MVC. I think the players that came in, and are leaving from, last years recruiting show exactly that.
Well, you did ask us to put our minds in future recruit's heads. I would have to think the amount of transfers of new players to the program is partially due to the fact that Mullins had to scramble last year to bring in guys....possibly rolling the dice on a couple guys that might not have been exactly his type of players. This year, he's had time to build relationships w/ recruits that they've had a full year or more to vet.

I agree! I think Dalton Banks will make an impact on the player rotation during his freshman year too.

I like that answer. Now let's hope you're correct.

Players that transfer have to sit a year right now, under the new proposal; no transfer will have to sit a year. It'll greatly impact transfers in the future especially among mid-majors.

Not humid enough for him in Carbondale! 😀
Francois to McNeese State
McNeese State.....why? Just doesn't seem like a "good move". Seems that Francios really wanted out of SIU and maybe he's a starter at McNeese State......
