What a horrible turn of events praying for everyone involved and their families
Northwestern State team that lost to Illinois State over the weekend just went to TCU and beat them. They have a return game in Normal later this week.
Tennessee State beats D1 low major Alabama A&M 87-76. They will come to Carbondale 3-0 and preseason #2 in the OVC. Looks like they can definitely score, but may be vulnerable on defense. Definitely not the cupcake Little Rock was.

After the USI game, I don't think there will be an easy win on the schedule, excluding Chicago State and that includes Evansville. That is not to say we may not win any games by double digits, I'm just saying that there isn't a guaranteed game left on the docket.

Yes I did forget about them. I was looking at D1 only. : )
UNLV, Southern's opponent (late!) Monday night, bagged a very impressive win last night over A10 preseason #1 Dayton. UNLV is regarded as a very good defensive team, so that over-under might be pretty paltry for Rebels-Salukis.
Meanwhile, the preseason A10 #2, SLU, looked good in a win over Memphis.

Alcorn State beat WAC preseason #3 Stephen F Austin by 9 on the road following another 9 point road win at Wichita State. They are one of our last non con home games, but they are looking legit! If we don't get our shiit together we might be the underdog going in to that one!

SIU would probably be favored by double digits right now (KenPom has 71-58). Doubt they overlook them after last year. Another “revenge” game like Little Rock.
We only beat Alcorn by 3 at home last year. Won't be a pushover for sure.
At this point if we were double digit favorites I would bet the farm on Alcorn State after their convincing road victories at Wichita and Stephen F Austin. Ken Pom puts huge weight on expectations and the previous year. Therefore, I don't think it is that great of an early season indicator. RPI isn't accurate at this time of year either, but right now Alcorn State's RPI is #6 in the country.
