No reason to hang your heads. This year was played with house money. We were expected to do nothing. They brought the excitement back and the future is bright.

thank you coach Mullins and thank you Seniors

The young guys bought into the system and the seniors were excellent.  You could say they overachieved, but that’s a disservice to the players and coaches.

I think that if you would have told me at the beginning of the season that the record is at .500 and you don't have to play on Thursday, you would look at this season as a success. Lots to build on with some young faces that got lots of minutes this year. There will be updates and some players will probably be recruited over but this is a good start for year #1 of the Bryan Mullins era at SIU.

Crap. It's going to be a loong 8 months. But dang: I haven't felt this way in about 13 years.

Makes a fella feel young again. 🤪

I'm happy they competed.  This is gonna be good experience going forward for the young guys.  And Lance Jones is gonna run the Valley the next 3 years, what an impressive player.

Yes, great year Gentleman! Barret loved to watch you play.  Loved that smile and the way you encouraged and cheered your team mates.  You are a class act!  Ronnie, thanks for donning a Saluki uniform and returning to St. Louis.  Played your hearts out today.  Eric, you will be greatly missed.  to say you had some amazing games at SIU is an understatement. Aaron, greatly missed on the floor this year.  It's safe to say you would have made a difference on the floor every game.  To the rest of the team you have made SIU fun to watch again.  It's been 13 long years but you have given us a reason to enter the arena and it's been fun.

I always cheer for the Salukis, win or lose. It is good to see a bit of spark on defense, things are only going to get better.

Those three played their hearts out and brought a lot of maturity and experience to our team! Best of luck to them in their future endeavors.

AC will be back, which is great!

I would like to echo the sentiments of those that have posted in this thread and Thank the basketball Dawgs, Coach Mullins and his staff for bringing hope back to the program, the fans and the University.  It's been many years since I've made the trek from Rhode Island to Arch Madness, but I can now envision myself back in The Loo for the MVC tournament in the near future.

Thought Bryan did an exceptional job. It’s nice to have someone donning the sidelines that cares more for the front of the jersey than their wallet. Can’t wait to see what he does the next few seasons! Go Dawgs!

Of course we are disappointed to see this journey end sooner than we would have liked, and I can only echo the sentiments of those who have already stated the obvious: You guys made us proud to be Salukis again. Thank you to all who contributed to this effort, from Coach Mullins and the players to the kid who wipes the floor under the basket during the games...The DAWGS ARE BACK! and the future looks extremely bright.
