We are now 1-5 against D1 competition.  Those who suspected we would be taking our lumps early were spot on.  Now, let's get it together for the Conference Season and beat Bradley.

And in reality, the only game where it looked as if we didn't belong was against Florida. The Elliott injury certainly sucks some wind out of the sails, but Sharp has been a nice surprise and may work his way into the starting lineup.

Cut out the mental lapses and dial up the effort level to where it should be consistently and SIU can still compete and be very dangerous in Valley play.

The slippery floor probably cost us the first game with Davis slip and the loss probably contributed to the horrible start vs EKU. Fortunately, nobody got hurt. What puzzles me is why any team would ever come back. One of the announcers mentioned one of the current coaches brought 3 different teams to the event. I thought he was talking about Nagy, but maybe not.

I thought I heard this was the first year it was over ice. I may be wrong, but I thought that's what I heard.

Noticed the top crowd for SIU's three games there was 613 -- in an 8,000-seat arena. How this tournament will continue to exist with attendance like that is a good question. If the crowds are so small, maybe play it in a high school gym -- at least the floor wouldn't be over a hockey rink.

Anyone know why Steve Hawkins was missing the last 2 games?

Didn't help that the Tournament field wasn't announced until like a month ago
