Crazy, we are half-way through the MVC schedule and 2 losses separate the top 8 teams. It will be a shoot-out the rest of the way and it seems likely like we could go 6-4 the rest of the way and still avoid Thursday.
The best path to the title is to win out at home and win at UIC, Valpo and ISUr. Do that and the title is back where it belongs.
Belmont has been so impressive considering what they lost last year - a very fun team to watch, and Sheppard is a worthy POY candidate rival to Domask and maybe DeVries if Drake heats up. They’re a great addition to the league … just wish they had a stronger fan base.
This first year of 12 teams and 20 MVC games is already highlighting a drawback of the new format with just one SIU-Belmont matchup. Benefits Southern that the one game was in Carbondale but not ideal from a fairness standpoint.

It's not fair that we do not play Valpo twice, but I'm over it.Who said life is fair
They are well coached, too. The fan base is still small but they had a decent crowd for the last game I watched. Good student section, too.Belmont has been so impressive considering what they lost last year - a very fun team to watch, and Sheppard is a worthy POY candidate rival to Domask and maybe DeVries if Drake heats up.
