Pretty sure this counts as a redshirt year/one of his eligibility years for him so not sure if that would influence his decision to transfer or not. As for Darius, who knows?
He loses the year of eligibility, so he will be a sophomore next year if he become eligible. He will be able to regain that year after his senior season if certain academic requirements are met.
Eh I don't think so. He is an academic redshirt and will have 4 years of eligibility remaining IIRC. Fairly new rule.

An academic redshirt allows for an athletic scholarship and they are able to practice. That is not the case here.
