This win was so big.  There’s a chance SIU could lose the next 3 with Bradley on the road and back to back Loyola.

Tonight might have saved us.

It’s kind of ridiculous to say this about the 7th conference game of the year, but with the back to back with Loyola coming up, we need to win on Saturday. If not, you’re looking at 3-6.

Not really.  Outside of the Big 2 (Domask and Jones), SIU has like maybe a half dozen guys that show flashes of brilliance at times, but then disappear for games at a time.

I don’t know what anyone is supposed to think.

Thats why it’s foolish for any of us to get too excited when these big games pop up for different guys from time to time.

Until we see some consistency, these will continue to be the Cardiac Salukis.

Good news. Dalton Banks: we don't listen to anybody - we know what we need and everything we need is in that locker room!

Dalton's very well-spoken. He could take over for Mike when he retires!

Sure hope the Dawgs don't read the crap on this board from us armchair QBs. LOL

I fervently hope you are correct.

Southern has played the bigs very limited minutes the past couple games. Will be interesting to see how that evolves against teams with some pretty good size like Bradley and Loyola.

Mast will be a load at the Gargoyles! Roberts tough too.

They beat Drake by 12 tonight. We need to put together two really good halves and shoot well. Everybody needs to show up, which unfortunately doesn't happen often.

I actually thought both teams played well.  We finally closed out a game.  Progress.

Excellent ball movement lead to better shots during the run and they finally finished a game off. Banks pog also just one observation during the game this has to be the most bipolar board I have ever read 🤣

Not much different than any other board.  Overreact both ways. This team is right where they were supposed to be. 5th place IMO

In conference yes and for now.  I would say this team SHOULD be better than 2 games up with their non-conf schedule and in Year 3 of Mullins tenure.  I also think they will be Vegas dogs the next 3 games so I doubt they'll still be in 5th after this stretch.

That being said, I am feeling positive about this team.  I am not typically into moral victories but the last 3 losses only totaling 7pts shows this team could be very close to turning the corner.  If they can beat Bradley and steal one from Loyola then the entire season outlook changes.  I still feel the key is Jones.  He is one of our leaders and has been playing at less than full health (speed).  If he can play at the level we all know he can, this team becomes a huge threat to every team in the league.

Go Dawgs !!!!!!!!!

@mr_woogers Absolutely. If a SIU player isn't in the paint when a shot goes up, they are immediately turning and running to the defensive end.  The coaches have to be seeing this also
