MD is too unselfish or looking for the perfect shot. I think if he were more aggressive, he'd go to the foul line a lot more.
SIU 32

Banks leads scorers with 7. Jones didn't score much or shoot well but thought he played a good half on the defensive end.
Jones steals the inbounds and whips it over his head - if that had gone in, would have been awesome.
How is SIU leading at the half? Lol. I will take it.
Thankfully, some of the other guys have stepped up tonight.
Found a way to win the half, but Domask needs to take charge in the second half.
@mr_woogers taking to many quick shots need to work the ball around not settle for a quick shot
A half-time lead!! If this goes down to a last shot game again Saluki Talk will have a melt-down.
See a start in D'Amico's future seem to be much better when he is the game

Jones played great - after he started guarding Neese, Neese quit scoring. Had 3 steals and 4 RBs. 5 pts. Banks leading scorer with 7. Jones leads the MVC in steals per game.
Banks played well too. Marcus only 3 shots and two points.
Gotta be more agressive.
With Domask sitting, we actually came back on them. Our bench has gotten better and always good to see the bench outscore the opponents. Maybe we can get everyone healthy before St. Louis.
Scores around the Valley:
UNI without AJ Green in OT at Valpo, Noah Carter has 33 points
Seemed like the whole team found a 2nd gear defensively those last few minutes. Need more of that. Need more ball and player movement on offense. More back cuts, more picks, more give and gos. More crashing the offensive boards.
D'Amico looking really polished on offense. Gave up an easy bucket on D though. But again, super impressive for a Freshmen. Jones D looks really good tonight. The 1-4 from 3 means he still hasn't found his shot. Hopefully here in the 2nd half. Amazing that a player that lead the league in 3pt shooting last year has reverted to his sub 30% 3pt shooting from his Freshmen year. Banks also looking more comfortable and, as importantly, Verp being more aggressive this game offensively.
To win, SIU will need to shoot better than 3-11 from 3pt range.
I stand by my pregame prediction, SIU by 6+. Go Dawgs !!!!!
Dawgs need to push the lead up to 10 or so.
Like many on here, I don’t trust this team in a super tight game in the final few minutes.
I assume Bledson will cool down after 17 points so far.
1-4 as a team from the FT line, come on
