Hoping it’s from the P5 level with some experience and recruiting background!
I think he checks all those boxes 😊
OMG he brought back Bruce Weber!
Edit: Said in jest.
when I first heard the caliber of coach they were talking that is who I thought it was.
This might be better
Oh come on…better than Weber? I can’t handle this. I’m happy he was able to bring in someone of that caliber. Hopefully that sets the stage for recruiting.
recruiting is actually why I think is better than Bruce
I’m just going to keep throwing out a wishlist of big recruiting names that are currently jobless against the wall until one sticks. Tom Crean!
i see the footprints surfacing. it will come out today (wednesday). almost 2 good 2 be true.haven't heard a name but am hearing the announcement is imminent (this week)How Soon?? Any hints?
Craving a McBride Special!
I hope this guy is an offensive expert.
We need someone who is essentially an offensive coordinator. Mullins can handle defense; this guy the offense.
I was unable to solve the riddle. ☹️ But I did find a random post about some guy in Akron retweeted by Saluki Insider. Not sure if that was supposed to help me or not. Lol

Actually I’ve got a guess. Does his name rhyme with Terrence Coward? 😂
Dan Mueller? The "better than Bruce Weber" claim makes this trivia question especially challenging
Mueller is too good at his TV gig. We don't want to steal him from that!Dan Mueller? The "better than Bruce Weber" claim makes this trivia question especially challenging
I think we are looking at more of a recruiting expert but he has been on staff with some great, not good, GREAT coaches... He will bring fresh ideas.I hope this guy is an offensive expert.

I am going to guess LaVall Jordan, formerly HC for Butler.
Although he spent most of his assistant time under Lickliter at Butler then Iowa and 6 seasons at Michigan with Beilein and not sure if people would call those "great" coaches.
My other guess would be Jerrance Howard, who was on Bill Self's staff for 8 seasons, a season with Larry Brown at SMU, and 5ish seasons at U of I with Weber. Was last an assistant at Texas with Chris Beard for a season.

If it’s him. I would be excited. Very curious how SIU could afford him.
I mean you obviously can’t pay him more than Bryan’s brother makes on staff, which I assume is over $100,000.
Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.
They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.

This was my guess too! He's been a stud recruiter so that would be big time. Not sure the circumstances of him leaving Texas (maybe wanted to get back to his home state?!?), but would love to have him on staff.
Coached under Self, Beard, Larry Brown, etc. All great coaches.
