Coach Howard has erased all the other universities he has worked at on his Twitter bio.

It now only says Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Southern Illinois.

Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.

They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.

Coach White and Howard were at Texas A&M together for three years also.  Howard was an Administrative Assistant under Billie Gillispie from 2004-2007.  Coach White was an Assistant Coach at Texas A&M from 2003-2007 and then was promoted to Associate Coach until her hiring at SIU.

I guess I was thinking about Bruce at Illinois. I knew she worked with him somewhere.  It came up when I was researching leads with Barkeep.

Bucky Dent discusses Domask leaving & Jerrance Howard being hired on an ILLINI podcast, at Illini Guys dot com.

Just found this on twitter.  I am going to listen because there is so little coverage of the Salukis.

It is called I On The Illini.  They also discuss SIU’s NIL strategy.

I have not listened yet, so it might suck.  Just putting it out there

Jerrance Howard part starts at 13:00 mark.  Podcast lasts 24 mins total.

The Domask part is fine, but most on here could skip it.

Finished it. There are a few interesting tidbits about Howard.

One thing I did find interesting was Dent said SIU can’t use its NIL to recruit players, can only use once they are signed.

Wasn’t the whole point of Domask choosing Illinois  because they offered him $400,000??

Where did the $400,000 number come from?

I got it from someone in administration at a recent function.  I cannot verify its accuracy, but I believe it.  Lance got 100 at Purdue.

I just asked how Domask ended up at Illinois.  That’s the answer I got. $400,000.

@saluki82 It is no longer a sport, it is a business. How do you now not pay every player on the roster? What a dumpster fire.

SIU offered Domask plenty of money too, he didn't leave strictly over that.  He wants to play at the next level and he wants to win.

It absolutely is a dumpster fire.  Whether your team benefits or gets hurt from it is another discussion, but it is a total mess and I would think even the big boys think it is a total mess.

I’m betting on Jerrance Howard to make our dumpster fire the best of all the Missouri Valley dumpster fires.

Domask got $200K and a new car from Illinois. Info comes from another student that is a friend of his.

So it’s somewhere in the middle. Thanks for the info.  I hope he picks a very expensive vehicle.

Bobber, that was a great piece. Your writing is always informative but humorous and comforting. I feel like I know Jerrance much better now.
