SIU website is now updated. The coaching staff lists only Bryan Mullins, Brendan Mullins and Jevon Mamon.
Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.
They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
Anyone know the reason Howard stepped down from Texas prior to last season after just one year in the position?
Tim Leonard taking a Big Swing is my kinda thing. He wants to get his picture up there with Kowalczyk and Moccia.
We are gonna need a whole new thread to debate the salary when people lose their fu**ing minds over how much money it is. 😆

Even though Monoghan would have been removed anyway, in time, it’s possible that SI just reminded them to speed it up.
they’ve always paid attention to ST, SN, and SI….and they know that we want to *** eat! We’ve been treated like an unwanted, uglyssa stepchild over the last two weeks and we want to *** eat, dammit! 😡 😡 Go Dawgs!
EDIT: why is some of this text red? Oh well, it resembles my anger! 😝

If it is anywhere close to what B-Mull makes I would assume the other assistants get a bump too?

I tried to research this a bit and there aren't many clear answers out there. I'd imagine whatever occurred is why he might have less glamorous options than where he was at before, though I'm still surprised/in wait-and-see mode re: his potential addition.
This is definitely one of those stories that raises a lot of eyebrows (and questions), but he would add a much-needed jolt to Southern's recruiting efforts.
Any negative speculation about a guy offering his services to a school that should’ve never been on his radar .. let’s slow down and be in his corner. He’s never committed an actual 2023 crime anywhere he’s been and from all his head coaches point of views he’s a great guy. Hoping it’s announced soon and we get to celebrate the addition.

I feel the same way.
No clue of validity but something called Inside Texas (Longhorn sports) claims Howard left in Aug 2022 to become a sports agent.
Haven’t found a second source to support claim. So……
Interesting move. I guess that didn't go as planned and he decided to get back into coaching. He's from Peoria, so perhaps he'd be getting back closer to family, and I could see Southern opening up the pocketbook for someone like him.
If he left to try a new experience and it is not to his liking and he wants to get back into coaching seems perfectly reasonable and to suggest he would command a high position or high salary at a P5 school wouldn't be reasonable but at this late date in recruiting cycle and hiring process it would make more sense to be at SIU and rebuild his credibility so I am all for it and this is just my opinion
Was just told to remain calm all is well
Gee thanks but I don’t sign the checks for SIU 🤣
