When you can only see “we have learned” on the main page and Jerrence Howard is the title of the thread. Lol
Thought we had a dinner time official hire all the sudden.

They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
It means we are confident enough to announce it my friend
Jerrance Howard was the lead recruiter for Joseph Bertrand. Just saying 🤣

I’d be lying if I didn’t think the same to myself yesterday. 😂 sorry barkeep, all in good fun.
show of hands if you were around way back when to know what that means 😝
A word starts with F and another word starts with O 😊
@uncledawgpound give Barkeep a break. 😀 His sources/detail were correct…until Diamond Taylor convince JB to go to Illini midnight madness and he turned on his commit.
and then DT ends up at SIU with Barry.
cruel world.
Wait was it Barry of Lowery. The past 16 years are a fog I want to forget.
It was both actually 🤣

I must say, for a fellow who joined this fine message board just three short months ago, you have quite the number of posts. Are you retired or just have way too much time on your hands? LOL

Can he coach offense? What happens if one week in a P5 school offers him a million?
I'll reserve judgement. Bringing great talent to Illinois or Kansas is way easier than getting them to come to an MVC school, even one that has a beautiful arena and nice facilities and a beautiful campus and Quatros....

He out recruited for Bertrand and his high school coach graduating from SIU. If you read this sorry Woody (Pete).

If this weren't going to happen I'd imagine Barkeep would've had to yank this down by now. It's still up. Sounds like a go.
This is going to be interesting. As others have said in various threads, recruiting to SIU is a little different than recruiting to Kansas, but the guy has a monster reputation for a reason. Even if it's only for a year or two (realistically, it will be very hard to keep him if he's still got game), this could be the jump-start Mullins needs at a time when he could really use one.
I hope we get some back story on how this all came together ... it's a bold and flashy move for a coach that isn't exactly known for flash.
