(1) Why does Barry Hinson more-or-less refuse to discuss Caroline in general, as well as the circumstances of his departure?

I'm sure to many of them he was a great guy. But it also shows how stupid some fans are. If he was such a great coach, Self would have had him on the sidelines instead of booking flights and hotels. He also would have been a HOT commodity after getting "jobbed" by the NCAA (their words). He wasn't. We apparently were the only idiots knocking on Hinson's door.
Besides, they had other assistants and boosters to hand out the bags of cash at Kansas.

But it's also possible Self didn't have room on his bench, but still really wanted him on staff. Kinda like SIU did with Doug Novsek. Can't have another "assistant coach" but still wanted him on staff.
